K-1 Fiancee visa to marry an American Citizen: This visa is issued to those who are outside the USA and wish to enter there for a purpose of marriage to a US Citizen.
Marrying a foreign bride is completely different experience than marrying a resident of the United
States. In this country, you and your beloved just go down to the license bureau, apply for a marriage license, and then tie the knot. If your bride is a foreigner the United States government must be petitioned to permit your spouse to live with you in the USA.
Applicants must have personally met within the last 2 years. If you and your bride fell in love as pen pals, or have met and corresponded only over the Internet, your fiancee will be not eligible for a K-1 Visa to marry you in the US.
A Fiancee Visa is a nonimmigrant visa allowing the Lady to enter the US for the purpose of
marriage. The Visa is only valid for 90 days, the marriage must occur during this period of time.
Upon entry to the US, the Visa will be stamped by the Immigration Officer with permission to work during the validity of the Visa. It is expected that the couple will be married within 90-day period. Once married, the couple must file the application for adjustment of status with all the necessary supporting documents.
Applicants must be legally able to marry in the US. If you or your fiancee are divorced, you should have the document to prove you are legally free to marry.

If your Fiancee has the children!
If the Fiancee has unmarried children, they should be included in the petition and may be able to accompany her to the United States. The children may also follow to join their parent within one year of the initial Visa approval.
However, unless the marriage to the alien Fiancee occurs before a child's 18th birthday, the child will not be able to receive residency based on the marriage to the US citizen. He would be able to be petitioned by his mother based on her new residency status but, under current waiting lists for that category, he would not receive a "Green Card" for more than 7 years.
Upon approval of the K-1 Visa, the consulate will place the visa into the beneficiary's passport. The
child(ren) will receive K-2 Visas. This Visa permits the Fiancee to enter the United States within six months of the date of approval by the consulate.
